missing both 02 sensors

I just got 98 teggy, and its got intake, headers, highflow cat, and catback exhaust. Though when I crawled under the car to do a change oil, i noticed my upstream 02 sensor (header) is disconnected, and no downstream 02 sensor (cat sensor).
Will the car still run okay without them connected?
I do am thinking of buying a sensor and connecting them back, but im pretty sure my CEL will go on since the car is running a full straight catback exhaust system.
Is there any way around the CEL?

You are probably running very rich. What gas mileage are you getting with both O2's not hooked up? You can ground the sensors or purchase a circuit I believe that will trick it into thinking its getting a signal from the sensor (read about this somewhere but can't recall the details right now)

Gas mileage is pretty low. I tried looking for a thread about 02 sensors here but couldnt. so I kinda gave up looking. Decided to post to see if anyone could give a quick suggestion on what i should do with these sensors.

Im thinking of reconnecting the upstream sensor, and purchasing a new downstream sensor. Will my CEL still come on? and will my mileage increase?
