First things first, make sure the clutch system is bled ( sounds dumb, but you never really know). When bleeding the clutch system, if the fluid level doesnt go down in the resivior, the master cyl. may be out. Look around under the dash at the clutch master cylinder for fluid of any sort. If there is fluid on the firewall/floor/anywhere under the dash, the master cyl. may have crapped out on you. Still nothing? Slave cyl. I havent ever really heard of anyway to really check this other than to pull it off and play with it (other than the obvious leak you wont know unless you do this).
I may be going around diagnosing your problem correctly. Give us a little more info. on what is going on with it. Is the clutch just slipping? Does the pedal feel mushy or is it like you sometimes have clutch and other times you dont? If you put your foot on the pedal does it sound like something is whining under your hood (throw out bearing)? Give us a few more details on what is going on.
Have you tried adjusting your pedal? I know with my accord, whoever did the 5sp swap before I bought it, they didnt put washers behind the clutch pedal assembly. The clutch would start slipping crazy bad. Your problem is the other extreme.DB8_228 said:its weird thou...like when i'm in first gear and the clutch is pressed in. the car starts to move forward a lil bit but i havent release the clutch yet. most people i talked to said it might be the throwout bearing. I might go ahead and get another clutch. but some people said that the exedy stage one is pretty much like your stock one. i dunno...still thinking about it.
Well you know what? That did happen to me on my first clutch. The springs were getting cut. Weird i dont know how. How do they get cut like that? I dont think they'll give me a new disc for free. Its already past my warranty for it. :xkillab18 said:its your clutch disc. the springs on the clutch disc are loose. try to push the pedal in let it up then push it back in then switch gears. it should be a litter smoother. but yea sounds like the springs on the clutch disc. get a new disc from exeddy and tell them that you broke it in properly. they should give you a new disc free. well hope this helps, but im 99% sure thats the problem.
Dang..clutchmaster stage 3? Thats what my nephew in houston is running to his ITR. He was gonna sell me one brand new for 400 bills. But i wanted to think about it. I have an ITR too...i want something a lil more from my clutch but i dont wanna ruin the car. 215 sounds like a good offer...i'll think about itslow_99integra said:i have a brand new exedy stage 1 ill sell for 215$ shipped, i bought it for 300.
