Clutch system are dumb. Sometimes it will seem like one thing and turn out to be another thing. First things first, make sure the clutch system is bled ( sounds dumb, but you never really know). When bleeding the clutch system, if the fluid level doesnt go down in the resivior, the master cyl. may be out. Look around under the dash at the clutch master cylinder for fluid of any sort. If there is fluid on the firewall/floor/anywhere under the dash, the master cyl. may have crapped out on you. Still nothing? Slave cyl. I havent ever really heard of anyway to really check this other than to pull it off and play with it (other than the obvious leak you wont know unless you do this).

I may be going around diagnosing your problem correctly. Give us a little more info. on what is going on with it. Is the clutch just slipping? Does the pedal feel mushy or is it like you sometimes have clutch and other times you dont? If you put your foot on the pedal does it sound like something is whining under your hood (throw out bearing)? Give us a few more details on what is going on.

Yeah I do hear a whining noise until i push the clutch pedal it goes away. I already bled out the clutch line and flushed out my transmission fluid and added redline tranny oil. I broke it in already. I drove 500 miles to break it in. Right now i can drive anywhere but i can't go over 4500 RPM. If i do surpass that RPM range then it wont let me get out of gear. So im stuck in that gear til it goes back down around 4500. Thats even when the clutch is all the way in. Its weird. I'm just tired of it like that. I've been driving like that for a few weeks. I think when i dropped it off to get my windows tinted...someone dogged out my car. I think this is enough info to see where the problem is. My uncles think its the pressure plate and i went to get a second opinion and he said it can be the throwout bearing. So i dunno...

yeah its probably the throw out bearing... its not the pressure plate because it would just start slippping at high rpm and during hard launches but you can still shift... its not you slave cylinder either because when that goes your pedal goes all the way down and it wont come up because you have lost all hydraulic pressure,,

its weird thou...like when i'm in first gear and the clutch is pressed in. the car starts to move forward a lil bit but i havent release the clutch yet. most people i talked to said it might be the throwout bearing. I might go ahead and get another clutch. but some people said that the exedy stage one is pretty much like your stock one. i dunno...still thinking about it.

Have you tried adjusting your pedal? I know with my accord, whoever did the 5sp swap before I bought it, they didnt put washers behind the clutch pedal assembly. The clutch would start slipping crazy bad. Your problem is the other extreme.
Your problem sounds like something is preventing the clutch from disengauging all the way. It could be just a pilot bearing. Or, you could have air in the lines. Or you CMC may be getting weak or going out. Check the smaller things first. Even if you know they are good from a month ago, check them again. Sometimes things go out and its not your fault.

its your clutch disc. the springs on the clutch disc are loose. try to push the pedal in let it up then push it back in then switch gears. it should be a litter smoother. but yea sounds like the springs on the clutch disc. get a new disc from exeddy and tell them that you broke it in properly. they should give you a new disc free. well hope this helps, but im 99% sure thats the problem.

Well you know what? That did happen to me on my first clutch. The springs were getting cut. Weird i dont know how. How do they get cut like that? I dont think they'll give me a new disc for free. Its already past my warranty for it. :x

I have an ITR too...i want something a lil more from my clutch but i dont wanna ruin the car. 215 sounds like a good offer...i'll think about it
