i recently bought a 1990 integra rs its a little beat up but its workin for me at the moment till i do some work to it i ran into a couple of problems

1. i have a squeak when i drive it stops when i am stationary i think a wheel bearing but not sure
2. my gas gauge is not functional it moved from before the line next to F to the line and fell back i think possibly stuck gauge or gas gauge sending unit

and

does anyone know how much miles from F to E i have put around 280 miles since monday since the previous owner filled it before title transfer car is totally factory at the moment

thanks

i get 250-270 on a full tank. could be the sending unit or possibly just the gauge itself. does your fuel light come on when youre low? if it does most likely the gauge then. not sure tho correct me if im wrong please.

the squeak could be alot of things. if its a wheel bearing you would feel vibrations in the wheel if its bad enough when driving straight or if not horribly bad you can feel it when you take turns. what side of the car is it coming from and is it an on off squeak or always squeaking besides when youre stoped? could be just your brakes lol

the gas light did not come on yet but im still trying to get it to and the squeak is constant and i dont think its the brakes it comes from the left side front

If you have a dvom (voltage tester), You can test the sending unit for resistance in the sending unit.... Just carry a 5gal fuel cell find a back road and run her dry

I'd fill that tank soon, I got that many miles on a very conservative, granny shifting, low rpm, 90% freeway tank, don't strand yourself bro

if your bearings were bad you would hear more of a hum than a squeak, thats from my past experience with bad bearings
