LS turbo questions...built bottom end

alright i need some help with picking a turbo setup for my LS...i recently got the motor built with je pistons and eagle h beam rods... the pistons w/ the LS head are around the area of 10-10.5:1 compression...i know its a little high for turbo...but i was wondring what kind of turbo i should go with...i really like the GT28RS but its expensive as hell...i only really want to boost at the most 15 lbs but the most important thing is i want the least amount of lag that i want... i think that might be a little too much boost for that high compression...but any suggestions let me know

humm... well i deff think that cr was a bad choice if you want to go boost but how much power do you plann to make?
and with that CR i would not try 15 IMO

the GT28RS is one the best turbo's in existence. If you can get it, then i would definitely do it. Not too sure I would run 15 psi on a 10.5:1 CR. Also what are you planning to tune it with. I would go with Hondata or AEM EMS, you will need that kind of tuning power and precision to get reliable high boost with that compression ratio. Especially if you're block still has the factory sleeves with nothing to brace them. But a GT28RS at 12psi on a 10.5:1 CR will be virtually lagless and with a good tune, make plenty of power for an everyday streetcar. It all depends on your power goals and plans for the car though.

well i dont really want to make more than 300 hp...i just want a really responsive turbo...as far as tuning..i was planning on going w/ a hondata or an AEM EMS...i know the high comp. was kind of a bad choice but i like the challenge of building a high comp. turbo motor...

i know its off topic a little but what did your pistons and rods cost? and did you build it yourself or have it done?
