I was curious, lets say making a a hp goal of 300 whp on a ls; you could theoretically make 270lbs of torque. But if you did a ls/vtec with a hp goal of 300, you would make something like 214lbs of torque and 300whp is considered the max safe for a bone stock ls bottom end. But, would I be able to make the same torque number of 270lbs on a ls/vtec granted I would have a considerably higher hp number; would this still be considered "safe max"? If so, why or why not?
You wont make that kind of torque unless your 380+whp.
Honda doesn't have bigger enough stroke for a b series to make that.
200whp will yield you roughly 130-135ft of torque.
biggest stock crank is a 89mm,
then you get 92,95,97 after that you'll need to weld a deck plate or go to a bigger motor.
to get 300whp on a lsvtec you'll need to spray or turbo, you wont make it NA, unless you go k series.
Boost creates torque, nitrous creates alot of torque.. there's alot that goes into measuring torque output.. but there is no safe max. Stock gsr's make upper 400-500whp range on stock blocks, and they produce around 200-300ft of torque...hope that helps.
