low fuel pressure

My car lacks all a**/torque, so i hooked up a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail, which is before the injectors and after the regulater. The gauge read 20-25 psi in b20b which is very low. I plugged up the line that `goes to the regulator to see if pressure built because maybe it was my fuel pump. Pressure did build up so i ruled that it was my regulator...changed that and it still lacks a**..what else should i try? Thank you

You mean before the regulator. After would be zero pressure.

20-25 PSI????
Low pressure is either a dying fuel pump, clog, in the upstream line, or dying regulator.

After to me means downstream between the regulator and return line.
You want to measure pressure upstream between the filter and regulator.

the regulator is attached to the fuel rail which puts the fuel through the injectors.... maybe im just not a good explainer

The fuel pressure regulator is on the far right.
You can measure fuel pressure any where to the left of the FPR.

OK yeah thats correct. If you've changed the FPR then its either a clog in the line upstream or a dying pump.
You should have around 45psi at idle.

Umm disconnect the line from under the fuel filter and and on top of the fuel pump hat and blow compressed air through it.
Its highly unlikely. More probable the pump is dying.
