Looking to uprade sound.

Hello,

I have a 1998 Integra GS coupe and I'm wanting to upgrade my sound from the stock speakers. I just installed a JVC deck and I really only want to upgrade my speakers. I would be willing to get an amp as well if it would make sense to only have it run to the speakers since I wont be buying a sub because I want to preserve the cargo space.

My question is this. Since I want to start off with a speaker upgrade, what type of speakers would you recommend? My priorities are hearing a full, heavy low end and mid range so the high end sound doesn't really matter to me.

My budget is between $75-150

Im an Alpine freak, so I would say go for the type s, or type e. I dont know why you dont care about the high end sound, that makes a whole lot of difference. if you want bass, your gonna want a sub. Door speakers are more into highs and mids. You will also want an amp for the best sound. Most decks wont push enough power for those. If your looking for something cheaper, than, Pioneer and kenwood are also a good speaker for the price. Still, not a whole lot of bass though.

i got kickers from best buy like $100 for a pair and they are good in the lows and a lot clearer in the mids and highs than stock but i think alpine will be better
