Looking to buy an Integra, worried about rubber seals?

Hey, I've been lurking for a while, and looking into buying an Integra. One thing that I've read is that with older cars that have low KM (I'm a canuck eh?) there is a possibility that the rubber seals will have deteriorated over time. Is there any way to fix this/prevent this/detect this before I buy? Or even how relevant of a worry this is.

From what I've read, this seems to be the only downfall to buying an older car. But any other things that you guys know of to look out for would be great.
