ok heres the deal i just purchased a clean 2000 gsr with 66,000 miles on it. i am a newbie so bare with me. i have about 3 grand to spend on this car and i want it boosted. could anyone put together a good parts list with quality shit on it for 3 grand or under. ive looked around at kits but i hear its better to build your own becuase you can get better parts cheaper if you buy them individually rather than buying a whole turbo kit wich cost anywhere from 1,600 to 4,000. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
or maby i should do alittle engine work before boosting i dont know. can anyone recomend a good throaty exhaust system as well. by the way this car is completly bone stock no engine work has been done at all the only thing ive done to it is tint the windows to give it a good look. Heres a picture when i 1st bought it

your oic is a little red X
but any who peice one together is the best bet simple but quality stuff avoid ebay products.
start wit drag mani dsm 450s decent t3/t4 you can get a cheep ebay innercolor though never seen one with a prob, tial wg, some name brand BOV, oil line kit. but with that low of mile on your car just leave it stock ;)

there is a lot less headache that way

thanks for the advice. i know leaving it stock would be best but i bought it to take to the track and to get into a new hobby. plus it has potential to eat corvettes and other v8's. its my goal i got a 98 honda civic dx as a daily driver so it will be worth it in my opinion to do some stuff to this teg.

honestly, just look for a kit on hondamarketplace.com in the forced induction section. tons of good stuff come up in there daily. if not that, check out www.spoolinperformance.com they do awesome stuff. you could piece together your whole kit on their site
