Looking for Cruise Control Information

Hey guys. I'm interested in fixing my non-working cruise control. The cruise control button lights up, but it does not do anything on the gauge cluster, nor will it engage at speed.

I have searched the forums, only to find a few threads with the same problem.. so far no solutions.
Google has yielded few results but non seem to have worked. I have heard of a button on the clutch pedal.. it seems to be there.. and doing it's job.. (At least I think so.) The fuse is also fine.

Does anyone have any information as to the area's I can start testing to see what is bad or needs replaced?
Any links or information regarding fixing the cruise control would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Is the cable connected to the pedal? It similar to the throttle cable, but is fed to the CC box in the engine compartment.

Yessir it is. Even if it wasn't connected though shouldn't it make some movement trying to engage?

my da9 is blowin my mind
I remember reading somewhere about how some of the icu leads fry which cause the rear defroster to not work and the cruise control and other things like wiper settings and etc. to not engage, there's diy on how to solder new leads but it doesn't look easy at all or worth it. The icu is located behind the fuse box.

Well I do not have any other problems besides the cruise control. Brakes, horn, rear defrost, wipers, all of that stuff all works flawlessly.

And to avoid this being another "My cruise control doesn't work." thread with no helpful info, maybe this can help SOMEONE.

I will post up more as I find it.

I just put hundreds of dollars into completely rebuilding my engine.. fixing lights, and doing body work.
Why don't you just shut the hell up and get out?
Go post your useless spam elsewhere.

Yes the second gen's have the buttons on the steering wheels.
Does anyone have a link to a FSM for second gens? I heard they cover some cruise control stuff in it.
