6 months ago i bought a 2001 integra gsr. it has a jackson racing supercharger, comptech exhaust and intake. only about 5000 miles after the mods. the guy i bought it from didnt have the money to finish the job. he had told me prior to buying it that there was a slight studder and his mechanic couldnt get it to studder or figure out why it was studdering.
i had the car for about 2 days before it started studdering, i couldnt get it to even idle. figured that it had a misfire or fouled plug so tried to drive it and burn the fuel out of the cylinder. i got nothing. started it the next morning and it was like nothing was wrong. after driving it for long periods of time driving it if i stop for longer than 2 minutes it starts to back fire and spit and spudder. but never a problem in the mornings or after letting it sit. some times no matter what time of day or temperature i cannot get any boost. my boost guage climbs from 20lbs of vacume and as soon as it hits 0 psi it snaps and kicks real hard but wont push past 0 psi.
what i really need to do is find a good tech with a dyno to hook into the jackson racing piggy back ecu and find out whats going on with my tuning, and would also have the parts or be able to order the parts necessary. like injectors or valves, air cooler. if they can install it would be good to insure a quality job. but i can have the work done if not capeable.
please if anyone knows of a good mechanic who can help me out i would greatly appreciate it. i live in sarasota, fl, would be willing to drive as far as miami or gainsville for good help. if anyone has any ideas of something stupid that could be going on please let me know.
i really believe that the car has so much potential but im not going to drop and repaint and tint it if im going to have nothing but problems. doesnt need to be a race car just a reliable 300hp honda
