Looking for 88-89

Hi board, my first post.

I have owned a 1992 GS for several years. A blowout on the freeway recently did extensive damage and it is not worth it to have it fixed. It had a B18B, that's about it.

I have been keeping tabs on Craigslist for a while on 88-89 gen1s. Please let me know what are the most common problem areas I can look for when checking out a potential sale. I have the cash and I would like to get a 3 door 5 speed before I change my mind!

Any general advice? I was reading the shop manual and I think I can do this.

Look for any major rust cancer. Esp. the under carriage.
