Limping to a Tune?

Question. Once my turbo kit gets slapped on, can I drive it to my tune spot with my regular unchipped ecu? 450cc injectors and 255i fuel pump while its not yet tuned? People say don't go into boost. Which ofcourse I wont do. But how does a regular untouched ecu work with injectors and fuel pump? The drive is 45 mins. I'm headin over to get tuned by chris at xenocron. He's gonna chip my ecu and tune with eCtune.

Yes, people do it. Drive for 5 minutes and make sure you aren't running grossly rich or lean, and if you're safe, then make the drive. Don't let your engine build boost though, keep it in lag.

Also, towing it to the shop allows you to do the break in on the dyno. I prefer the MotoMan method, not the babying method.

It's cheaper to rent a dolly from Uhaul. If you have your own truck/suv with a trailer hitch.
x2, i think a dolley is what...30 or 40 bucks?

and if you do drive it, just make sure you dont run lean whatever you do, rich is better than lean

Take your ECU to the tuner to put a base map on it. with out it your car may not even start with the 450s.
