My clutch is going bad so im changing my clutch to a stage 1 and my buddy told me since im replacing the clutch i might as well get a lw flywheel. Is it a good idea or do they get annoying since it gets your revs up faster will my car jerk a lot? So is it worth getting one or just get oem flywheel????
thanks

I'd have to agree with the people above
Just like how your going to have to get used to a stage 1
Make sure you wait for 1000 miles to break it in properly

Miss my car!!!!
I had a 8pm flywheel in my old hatch and the reason they are saying it takes getting used to is it makes the car very touchy to throttle response. At least it did o my hatch. Makes it jumpy if not used to it and you will probably kill it a few times

yeah rpms move up faster and also drop faster when down shifting.its nothing to worry about. i didnt think i wanted it either but it was worth it.

lightweight flywheels you cannot resurface - or atleast you aernt supposed to b/c they will become unbalanced.

i will offer this - never combine a lightweight flywheel and lightweight crank pulley - not good

I had a lightweight flywheel and a lightweight crank pulley on my hatch for the entire time I had it. Never had an issue. Just gotta make sure it is one with a balancer and it will be fine

Im pretty interested in this lightweight flywheel. I had a civic si and it ran 9.11s and was internally stock. I got the integra and the fastest I can get it to run was a 9.63. I think it was because the civic turned up SO much faster. Which it was a B20. And the Integra is on 18s.. Not 14s.. I think itll be a good investment.
