Does anyone know what this is?
It looked like a filter of some sort, but we couldn't figure out what it was and I didnt' feel like looking it up. lol

This the color the Crank is supposed to be...

This is the color it was on Cylinder 1.

You can see metal scrap from the bearing on the crank here... Hopefully the crank is salvageable, but I doubt it will be.

Sweet building the SOHC I wanted to do that with my y8 in my old civic but ending up selling it oh well. Guess I'll just have to build the B18 now. lol. Still wouldn't mind finding a ef 4 door and doing a complete d16 build in it.

I would go ahead and remove that oil pickup, those arent required on a d series.

I think I need a new oil pump....... Bearing on rod journal #1 was shot.... as in there was no bearing there anymore... lol
