key won't start the car

Okay so this is my first thread. I have a 91 acura integra gs and I can turn the key but I won't start the car. The only way I can start the car is going under the hood and using a wire from the starter to start it. I'd love some help

You say wont start the car, i assume you mean it just clicks?

bc he said he could jump the starter directly which would be to the solenoid.
