Key Unlock/lock

Im really quite clueless on this as im new to cars in general.

But what i would like to know is how to get those keys that lock/unlock your car from a distance with the remote? what would i have to do to my car and where would i go to the the remote?

And also i would like to do that and shave my (i cant think of the name right now lol..) handles? or whatever theyre called brain farting right now on the side the car, so you need the remote to get in.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I can show you a few places in stl mo that will do the keyless entry for you, I would get an alarm with it too. do you mean shave your key holes?.. if you are all you need is to swap out handles for 4dr rear handles. I got them on my car...my buddy might have another set.

nah i mean like not even having handles, just a smooth door, although it probably costs way too much im curious of how id do that, but i do want the remote for unlocking my door..

btw you got a really nice teg xD mines just all stock 94, white.

mine once was that way back in the day! haha you mean shaved handles... its going to cost you alot! atleast $1000,body work + parts and labor...


your going to half to take off handle, cut out sheet metal to cover the hole, than use a high power solenoid like AutoLoc Spal Kits(atleast 35lbs solenoid) to open n close door. Problem is IF it doesnt work or battery dies in remote, your faulked!! Not to mention with winter we have, the cold weather will effect the solenoid. your better choice is the4dr handles.

PM me, my gf brother works for audio express, i think they can do keyless entry, and alarms. I suggest that be your first mod, and fuel cut off. should cost around 150 more if you want alarm. if your lucky your see my car inperson..lol

OR you can goto ultimate eltronics on gravos bluff, I know a guy that works there too, does amazing work! and owns one sick dc

Or you could get DB handles and put them on in the front that way the only way to get into your car is with an alarm. ;)

Or you could do it your way. Just throwing it out there.

I'm sorry, but I'm having the same issue, only kind of weirder.

My keyless entry remote (yeah, I know this is bad but no idea what to call it other than that...) is not working at all, have to use the key to open the door and the hatch. Can anyone give some advice? Well I have thought of taking it to an Acura or Honda dealer and asking them to replace the battery in it.

BUT! I do know from experience that if you hold down the button the alarm goes off, lol.

Also the driver door doesn't always lock, I don't live in a high crime area but Houston isn't a smart place to leave car doors unlocked. Anyone have a similar problem with their driver door not locking all the time?

the grease in the door dries out and it becomes harder to move the handles .

windows move slower and take more power(your lights dim)
door locks start getting louder, and its harder to lock with a key as well.

i had to regrease everything on my 95 integra.
when i got it i couldnt even move the door lock on my pass side it was almost stuck. after greasing it up (use lithium grease)
it was very smooth and easy to lock unlock ahd windows were much smoother as well.

theres a lithium grease spray can i suggest greasing up the mechanisms and all moving non electrical parts.

Thanks Tenshi, I was thinking the mechanism might be getting jammed by something. My car hasn't been driven since last October before I got it. Time can do these things.
