Kenwood install problem

Bought a Kenwood kdc210u to put in my 1996 integra. Previous owner had cut the factory harness so I had to use a diagram and wire the CD player harness in. After I did all the speakers I wired the yellow wire from the CD player to the blue white for the car. And the red yellow from cd player to the red wire.

It has no power. But if I switch the blue white to the red and the red yellow to the yellow it will take a CD but will not give me any display or sound on the radio face.

No fuses are blown and yes I'm positive it is wired right. The illumination wire from the teg had no where to go since this Kenwood unit does not require one. Please. Someone chime in on this. Previous CD player worked fine. About to wire it back in and make sure everything is working still.

Hooked the old one back up and it worked fine. Anyone have any ideas? Could it possibly be the CD player is too new somehow? I don't fucking know.

Player is botched most likely if you say you were hooking it up right.

Don't follow the colors. Read what each wire is and attach it to the right wire.

Radio Constant Wire 12V+: Blue/White
Radio Switched Wire 12V+: Yellow/Red
Radio Ground Wire: Black
Radio Illumination Wire: Red/Black
Radio Dimmer Wire: n/a
Radio Antenna Trigger Wire: n/a
Radio Antenna Location: Left Rear
Front Speakers Size and Location: 5 1/4″ Doors
Left Front Speaker Wire (+): Blue/Green
Left Front Speaker Wire (-): Gray/Black
Right Front Speaker Wire (+): Red/Green
Right Front Speaker Wire (-): Brown/Black
Front Speakers Size and Location: 6 1/2″ Side Panels
Left Rear Speaker Wire (+): Blue/Yellow
Left Rear Speaker Wire (-): Gray/White
Right Rear Speaker Wire (+): Red/Yellow
Right Rear Speaker Wire (-): Brown/White

I didn't follow colors. I used that exact photo you have below and then one for a 96 integra factory wiring to match up each wire. Remember I said previous owner cut the harness out.

I can make it take a CD if I change the two 12v wires oppisate of what they are suppose to be but absolutely no lights or any sound. Nothing at all on the display. I plan go get another one and if it still doesn't work get a factory adaptor at a yard. Wire that in and then use a actual converter harness that will color match mostly and see if that works. Idk. I've wired a shitload of CD players and never had a issue like this. Maybe it is a bad unit. We'll see.

Radio constant to battery right? Blue white to yellow. And yellow red to red.

Replaced a fuse under the hoof that says spare fuse. It didn't look blown but fixed the problem.
