Kenwood H.U. issues

So i recently purchased and installed a Kenwood KDC-X595 unit, and i love it, sub control, 3 pre-outs, happy times. BUT, while driving if I attempt to search for songs, or adjust settings or use the buttons in any way, the display will turn off for a few seconds and then restart. The music still plays while this happens which leads me to believe it's a not enough power issue. I'm currently running a 600W amp and 2x 12" Kenwood subs off the car battery. Any of you sound boffins know if that's just too much current draw and I should put a capacitor in there or buy a deep cycle?

You should be fine. I've been running 500w and 600w rms amps off stock electrical for almost a year now. You may have a bad connection somewhere in your harness..

Real Good!
the only time ive had that problem before was because the face was alittle loose and it would loose contact with the deck itself making it turn off and on again

try messing with it with one hand, then with the other push on the face at the same time. if it keeps doing it then its something else, if it works and doesnt turn off then that might be your problem.... but its a new deck so i would see why it would be that, when i had that problem it was on a old deck

if anything it might be a bad deck :(
