K&N Vs. AEM For a DA9 Integra? (B18A1)

Which one should I get? I've got a 1990 RS with stock B18A1, stock everything. Just a stage 3 clutch. 235k on the engine. (Not Rebuilt) Burns no oil.

Looking for an intake to throw on it just for a little better sound, a few mpgs, and some acceleration increase.

Would you recommend AEM or K&N? Do they both come with heat shields or would I have to buy one?

6 inch AEM dryflow filter with a 3 inch bpi flow stack and any 3inch intake tubing you want to use. Thank me later. K&N need to be cleaned and use oil which is why I prefer the dry flow AEM, but pbi actually sells a kit that comes with a K&N filter to make it easier on you to get the right size filter. Then all you have to do is find an intake to use the tubing from and you are on your way.

This is the Spectre intake I use. I'd rather have an AEM filter but the Spectre one will do for now.

I run an ebay cai with an aem filter. Not much of a reason for an expensive intake tube unless u need to be carb legal imo.

Pat, you have the plastic intake that comes with a heat shield, right? I've been looking at that thing since I bought my car but could never find anyone that had experience with it. I guess you'd recommend it?

I just bought a 93 and it has a cold air intake that runs down by the passengerside bumper. Should i get rid of it and bring the filter up in the engine compartment?
