Its probably going to break.

Cheaper shifters are an alloy that does not have the strength and hardness of quality shifters. They cannot withstand repeated abuse and eventually shear off in the middle.

im with jason.

it will either break at the shift knob threads
or
at the pivot point

sell that and save up for a shifter from a legit company. you'll notice the weight and quality difference.

I'd listen to this guys. I have boughten a cheap shifter before and when i went to the track, as soon as I go to pop it to 2nd, my knob ended up in the back seat. It broke on me at the bottom of the thread as I was shifting. The ride home sucked ass without a knob....lol

What material is it made of?

Just because he paid 10$ doesn't mean it's garbage. He couldve got lucky and scored a good deal.

I got a pioneer double din DVD for 75 shipped bc the listing on eBay was spelt wrong! Brand new un opened.

That packaging screams cheap. Which is most likely what he got.

He can always install it, but if I was him, I wouldnt get rid of the OEM shifter, ever.

All I'm saying is he never stated a name or place he got it from. It appears there's Japanese writting along the side of package- so it could be legit.

What someone pays for something mean it's garbage, or the best thing because people get deals, and people over pay.

i could make some package with some japanese writing, put some ebay pistons in it, and say they're jdm 11:1 compression. same principle.
