Jumper harness

Quick question.. I have a 87 integra and saw this thing called a Jumper harness, basically it allows for me to plug a new ECU like maybe a OBD I or OBD II Into my cars harness.. Do I have to change anything else when I run this setup?

the only reason you would want to is if you had a new motor form those years. and yes you need a ecu jumper and i think other things too to go from obd0 to obd1

Look all I wanna do is get my damn car back on the streets.. Ecu messed up, bought a new one.. Car still wouldn't start.. Squirted gas into intake and it fired right up and ran..
EDIT: and for Malikusmangee my car is a 87 teggy, 1.6l (D16A1) and its got a 5spd manual tranny..
Any other info is useless.. i just wanna know some input on why it wont start..
