jdmsh!t front lip fitment

hey guys i got my lip the other day from JDMsh!t. it doesnt exactly fit. i know that it supposedly fits so perfectly that it needs to be stretched a bit to fit to both sides but that isnt really what i mean. can you guys post pics of your abs plastic type-r style front lips? because i seem to have a gap between the edge of the lip and the black surround thingy.

this is a picture on the drivers side. the gap is even all the way across. btw this pic is with one end of the skirt positioned how i THINK it should be infront of the tire.

this picture if you look hard enough you can tell the lip is raised about an inch so that the bottom of the lip fits flush with the bottom of the original bumper.
it almost seems that grinding these parts would make it fit right.

does anybody have experience with the abs type-r front lip from JDMsh!t???
also if this is how its SUPPOSED to be its pretty fluke. anyone?

never had experience with abs platic, there's usually a slight fittament issue.

Ah, your one of the many. Be thatnkfull. I had to add 1/4 in to the drivers side so it would wrap around the fender. Thats the problem with buying cheaper lips. If you want it to look good, be prepared to do a little modifiaction. Invest in some sandpaper and a dremel. Take your time, do a little bit at a time, and constantly fit it. You'll be fine.

try a heatgun to see if you can reshape it before you cut anything.

well i got it to fit. its pretty ugly because there are gaps haha. i guess ill either paint it and my skirts myself or get them painted.
BUT for right now what do yall think about ridin around with the black unpainted?!?!

I think it may not be that noticeable if you paint it.

anyways i just put the lip on anyways. here are some pics. im plannin on painting it next time i get paid ill buy all the supplies to paint the lip and both skirts. here are some pictures of the sloppy fit.

Ive had ABS lips before and it lasted me one day, Had 4 lips from JDM shit so far and no issues, i have a fiberglass 98 ITR lip if you want to trade

i just got a 98 abs itr lip from tunerz image and it fit perfect...just had it sent to get painted
