I figured it's time to make one of these,so here it is.I bought this car off a good friend and a fellow honda mechanic about a year and a half ago.The original gsr had been boosted and blown up and then had this low mileage ls swapped in its place.Shortly after he sold it to me more of less bone stock.It had a very recent nhbp respray/wind shave,amber signals,oem side markers, jdm itr rear seats and an oem itr catback.Since then its come a pretty long way and i have picture of most of the process.
This was about two weeks after i bought it.I put white rota grids on it and drove it.
Then i got trendy with it,added a roofrack with a basket attatchment,rear visor,and first set of tow hooks.
I got bored with the grids and decided to try the blacked out deal.Also got my lip around this time.
Jump foward a tad,and yet again another set of wheels.
Also around this time the bay was wire tucked all exept the abs system.
Then i got this and everything pretty much stopped. :lol:
Then sold that,and got the ball rolling.
My fiance found the perfect wheels for me semi local and i jumped on them immediately.15X7 +26 o.z racing mesh.I quickly had them freshly powdercoated bengal silver metallic and had the lips redone.
Of course i had to get new tires. 195/45/15 nexen n3000 were used.
Got my 350mm momo monte carlo steering wheel,momo hubpwjdm itr shift boot,and powercoated white mugen shift knob on.
By this time i decided it was time to get rid of all the amber and began to get my clear lighting.
And that's where the parts really began to pile in.I starting piling up the following.
Clear fogs with oem switch
Ground control coilovers
Dropzone white gas struts
Silver beaks lower tie bar
Oem mudflaps
Clear itr side markers
Bengal silver metallic benen front and rear tow hooks
Genuine color matched spoon mirrors
Genuine spoon radiator hoses
Genuine spoon radiator cap
Genuine spoon resovoir covers
Itr chrome oil cap
Red stripe del sol seats
Oem black floor mats
Gutted rear with false floor and matching carpet
Buddyclub pro spec catback
Edm cluster w/ battleship grey needles
Battleship grey b20 valvecover
And i'm sure more i'm forgetting.That brings us up to today and where my build really starts.The plans are as follows and i will update as often as possible.
Motor/bay
- Tuck abs using rs parts and respray nhbp
- Spoon oil cap
- Spoon thermostat
- Spoon fan switch
- Clubintegra member spark plug cover hydrodipped kelvar
Turbo kit:
- Hand tig welded side winder manifold
- Garret t3/t4 ball bearing turbo (.57-.63 trim haven't decided yet)
- Tial 38mm wastegate
- Tial bov
- 2.5 chargepiping
- Spearco fmic
- Tuning on p28 with chrome pro
- 3 inch downpipe
- Dsm 450cc injectors
- A conservative 8-10 pounds daily
