jdm itr swap ecu questions

Im new to the scene so be easy on me lol. Ok I have 1992 da9 with a 96spec jdm itr and it has an unknown ecu. On that note Ive done some reading and this engine reaches peak horsepower at 8000 and is supposed to redline at 8600. Well mine redlines at 7600 and sometimes its at 7200?? Is it the ecu and if so than I just want to replace it and get the engine completely rewired but what ecu do I use? Should I use the p73 that comes with it? Any help is greatly appreciated. Ive had the engine and trans all checked out so its all sound which is why Im guessing the ecu.

if you have a b18c, all you should have to do is swap computers, you shouldnt need to rewire anything. Make sure you know exactly what engine you have then buy the correct computer.
