ok i just bought a 95 teal gsr with the oem gsr wing. i dislike the gsr wing strongley and want to put a itr wing on but i know that the regular one still shows holes. i was curious since the itr with brake light has a harness maybe it will plug that hole. is my conclusion right? i dislike the plugging the holes and i aint got the funds to repaint the trunk after a) closing holes/wingless B) itr wing.

They do cover the holes iirc. Best way to find your answer would be to ask the seller.

just take that ugly wing off and cover with plugs! type r wing doesn't cover holes unless u buy a knock off fake one.

I had mine permanently sealed (welded, paint, clear). I know some other integra owners use a rubber grommet plug. Not sure where they got it from but you can always ask them. I had mine done way before people was using the grommet plug.

But it if it has a warranty or return service and if it doesn't cover it return it. Problem solved.

It's not much maybe 100? They'll just want to paint match it so they'll probably need to paint ur whole hatch.

Out of everyone that has responded... who has had a real ITR wing on their teggie?

I purchased a real ITR wing and it fit exactly into the holes that were there from the GsR low deck wing. It covered everything and I didn't have to do anything special. I picked up a black ITR wing for my black GsR and it was as easy as removing the old wing and pulling the wiring out from the rear hatch window where it runs and then bolting the new one on. Took me 20 minutes tops.

Before:

First pic with the ITR wing on:

Shot of the rear with the ITR: (kinda dark and hard to see but no holes are visible)

Pulling the wires from the hatch:

Another rear shot with the ITR:

Day I sold her:

Here in Iowa people with ITR's are frickin selling their ITR wings and picking up a Mugen 1st gen spoiler. I'll talk with some of the local honda guys to see if anyone has one for sale right now.

I dunno. Your wing looks real enough but i was going to say if your wing covers the holes then its not a real itr wing. Theres a replica wing that does cover all the holes cus the base is molded from the gsr wing. However i noticed this, you have a high mount third brake light which means you do not have a wire harness that runs through your wing which means you will not have extra holes in the trunk lid. The gsr wing or any wing that had the led third brake light in the wing had another hole for the wire harness so the entire mounting surface on each side has 3 holes the wing would lock in to. I assumed all the flat integra wings had the same mounting holes but this is the only theory i can think of that matches. Someone else will have to confirm and you will have to confirm that your wing said honda on the bottom. I had a gsr with the led thir brake light and my itr wing only partially covered the third holes on each side but i just plugged em.

This doesnt explain why you would have to pull wiring from your trunk unless your wing did have the led brake light. Waiting to hear back from you on this. Did you add the high mount brake light after the new wing?

The extra holes is where the 3rd brake light wire came thru for the stock OEM spoiler had the 3rd brake mounted. I do have a OEM ITR spoiler mounted. I had water coming thru that extra hole so I had it sealed.

I'm with Nemesis. He got it on the mark. I have the real OEM ITR spoiler and had to cover up holes on both sides of the hatch since the ITR didn't cover it. I do know that some aftermarket variations can cover up everything though.
