As long as it's a 3rd gen hydraulic, it'll bolt right up. If your happy with the gearing on your current trans you can always add an LSD to it also.

I did not know that and how hard is it to add in the LSD function and should I just rebuild the tranny when I add it. The syncros are bad yet but it feels a little rough...

Splitting a transmission case and adding an LSD isn't something most typical people would want to take on. Especially if you have never done it before. You could rebuild the tranny and have a LSD added while they are in there, but by the time you're done...you could have likely just bought the ITR tranny for less with less headache. Of course quality aftermarket LSD's are better than what comes in the ITR, but the ITR is a hundred times better than nothing and a quality aftermarket LSD is around $1,000 alone.

In the long run, it all just comes down to your budget, expectations and needs. ITR is probably the cheaper route, but keep in mind the gearing and final drive is much shorter.

Adding a lsd is easy
but depends on what type of racing you do
circuit
auto x
drag
rally
circle etc
this will helo me decide which type R tranny for you, as i also do motorsports

best bet is to buy the LSD and pay a shop to do it..specifically a shop that does Honda swaps and are familiar with import cars

not only 3rd gens, all b series trans axles will bolt up to all b series engines, any b series tranny internals can be swapped to any B casing, engine are the same.

only difference is cable or hydro which can be converted

Catch me if you can
The only way you get a racing transmission is you built one. Honda don't make them from the factory.
