ITR ecu in a GSR

OBD2a and OBD2b use different sockets on the ECU. I'm sure you can make it work, but it's not going to plug right in.

you need and obd2b to obd2a jumper harness... i wouldnt use a type R on a gsr tho...its basicaly the same thing

why would i need a jumper for my car its obd2b?? and i want to use a 00 type r ecu and that should be obd2b right so yea, my firend said that the type r ecu will not work for my car because of some shit but he doesnt know what he is talkin bout.

different mapping for one. the gsr has a dual stage IM so unless you swapped that you will only lose power going to the itr ecu. your vtec engagement will go to 5700 and from 4400-5700 your car will be super gay

so fuck the type r ecu that is basically what u r saying right koo sounds good to me. so what would u recommend me doin on the ecu, here is the ins and outs of my car cold air, header, skunk2 intake manifold, 2 1/4 piping all the way back no cat. thats it so far

If you really want a type-r ecu best to get a p28 with a itr basemap. but yes like he said up there dual stage im on a gsr running a itr ecu is pointless and powerless. Unless you have some work done to your car such as sk2 im, I,H,E cams maybe the you'll see some good results.

^ your post didnt make sense. you basically told him it was pointless to do unless you had what he had on his car. lol

Go get your car tuned by a reputable tuner in your area. he'll be able to help aim you in the right direction. :thumbs up
