Issues with Catback Exhaust System

I recently purchased a no-name catback exhaust system for my 93 gs-r. I installed it and everything lined up perfect except for one problem. I have a 4" gap between my cat and the flange on the end of the exhaust system. I did a little research and some deep digging and apparently Tanabe is one of the only retailers of this extension pipe. It is very pricey and takes forever to ship because it is JDM.

Here's my ultimate question:

Has this happened to anyone else before? (It appears to be a common problem for the gs-r)​

Is there a better option than ordering the extension pipe from Tanabe?​

Thanks in advance for any feedback I receive. I just want to get my car back on the road and I am exactly 4" away from doing it! ha

just go to a exhaust shop and have them fab something up..with flanges if you want
