Issue with mounting side mirrors. Please help.

I have a 97 teggy LS. i knocked off my side mirror and ordered a new one to replace it and it came and it seemed like the mounting was too big so i sent it back and ordered from somewhere else and got the same mirror. I have triple checked and it is the right mirror but the screws are coming out of the mirror rather than screwing into it. anyone ever run into this problem with intergra side mirrors???

Here is a pic of mirrors I just sold.



Every set I've dealt with had the studs on the mirror, and you just remove the nuts from them.

Post up a picture of yours.

will do in a bit man. the thing about mine is that the triangle shaped base is bigger. i ordered the first from orileys and the second from rock auto.

Also..."need help" is pretty useless as a title and most people will skip over it. You should state what you need help with in the title. Just trying to help with future posts.

a previous owner must have rigged it because the side mirror i still have on is screwed into the mirror. ill post picks when i get out of class

ok well i still have the problem with mount size and shit im just gunna take the door apart today after my classes and see if i can figure something out.

Yeah I got that.. I was just saying.. I know OEM, true oem have the studs. Not sure what you would get by ordering it from orileys..
