Is Stripping the interior illegal?

I got pulled over by a cop the other day and he told me to get a vehicle inspection and all i had was a injen cold air intake, rear x brace strut bar and stripped interior.. I was wondering if the stripped interior was illegal or not cause i dont feel like putting all my interior back in...and how about my other things that i have?

that will depend on the state that you are in.

generally i dont see a problem with the stripped interior unless you removed the safety features. other than that some mods are illegeal for sure .. like 6" drop, i also believe nitro is illegal for street use. check you local dmv office/website . they might be able to give you a list of what is required for a vehicle to pass inspection

Any type of engine modification is illegal.... BUT the only way you can get away with it is if all the parts are A) stock (LS/VTEC) or B) C.A.R.B exempt. Stripping the interior is illegal because the safety features are gone..... seats with seatbelts. Get this problem taken care of or you will have a suspended license or registration. Try to get all parts that a CARB legal AEM DCSports gReddy You pay more, but it is because they are legal for street use. Believe it or not the Porkers can make you pop your hood too. if it is not street legal you will not be driving.

oh then everything is illegal, it is illegal for you to think about imports, its illegal to own a honda/acura, its illegal to have overweight ppl in the car, because the state trooper will pull u over for excessive drop, its illegal to have aftermarket headlight bulbs because they think ur headlights are HIDs and not oem, u cant have any mod what so ever unless it comes with carb stickers, and only a few companies provide those, Jackson Racing, DC Sports, Injen, AEM, Greddy are the ones i know of. most any modification in california is illegal, thats why jdm is so hot, its clean but its OEM somewhere else.

i had a carb sticker on my injen intake but the porker said it was still illegal whats the deal?

Well, the bacon boy can still write you a ticket for the intake, but when you take it to court, you'll win.
The CHP is under pressure to crack down on imports. As for the interior, my car is completely gutted, and I have not received a ticket for it. All I have is a driver's seat, roll cage, steering wheel, and a shift knob. LOL.
As long as you have your airbags and seatbelts, you're o.k.
