Is an LS turbo possible?

i was going to do a gsr and boost it..but now im just doing a small turbo and building the ls motor...i know a machine shop that does awesome work for cheap...so they are going to hook me up

I say go for it. Me and my brother are running a turbo LS /w 173k miles on stock internals..... We are only boosting 5psi though. Most people try to max out what their stock engine can handle (which is around 8psi on an LS) I know a guy running 14psi on a stock internals GSR (however, it's highly not recommended). But it's amazing how much a difference even just a reliable 5psi can make.

Boost
A lot more power
Sounds amazing
Cool BOV noises
Can handle a decent amount of boost

Con's:
Shitty gas mileage
Reliability
Illegal
Eat up tires and clutch's

g18 is the greddy g18 turbo i thought.
I've also been lookin at either an AEM cold air intake or the Ice Box I know AEM is good but i've heard that the Ice Box is the best.
Does anybody have either of these to tell me what the like about em?
How bad does that turbo eat at the clutch and which one are you using?

you wont be able to use the stock clutch with boost, and dont buy an intake, if your planing on boosting it, i think an 18g is a little bit on the big side, and you might have a slow spool up, and people need to stop saying you can run 5 or 10 or 100 pounds of boost safely, every turbo is different and is going to flow different, go use the search button and read about turbos

Turbo's only have shitty gas mileage if you stay in boost all the time. I have a friend that gets 30mpg with 300whp.

Do not buy an intake if you plan on going turbo. Unlike most video games those parts are not comaptible for a turbo. You will end up using the AEM as an IC pipe.

Edlebrock also makes a 50 state legal turbo kit, but this guy may not live in Cali.
