Integra LS 99 Motor clicking and turning off.

I have a 99 integra Ls, the car was stop for a week and when i tried using it, i had problems turning it on. It feel it like the gas wasnt going up. When it finally started the motor started
clicking pretty loud and when i accelerate it gets louder. The motor feels like it lost a lot of power.
You can tell right away because when i turnit on the engines sound like it wasnt to turn on.
And when i go for a ride once i put it on reverse or first gear and accelerate and i get to a stop
or take the foot off the gas pedal it turns off. Any body knows what is wrong with it?
Any advise.

When you say your motor is "clicking" while running, do you mean it has a knocking sound? Does it have enough oil in it? If the motor ran dry it could certainly damage something internally causing a knocking sound..clicking, not sure about that. Try and tell us some more details and we might be able to help you out a little better.

As far as having troubles turning it on after it had sat it's possible that the battery had gotten a bit discharged and had barely enough juice to crank the engine.

Oh also, have you checked your fan belts to see if anym might have broke? A broken fan belt might create a flapping, ticking sound and there could be a loss in power steering/charging.

Oh yeah, does the engine only click while you are driving or does it do that even when it is sitting still.

Could it be valve lash?
