hey,

so i just ordered a skunk2 intake manifold, and a 68mm TB for my dc2 gsr, and i want to get the either the j's racing, or password jdm cf intake...or a custom intake of some kind, i noticed some of the applications say "non abs" what does that mean? that my car wont have abs anymore or wut?! please help and any links to good sites to buy from would be AWESOME!!! thanks again!!!

Non ABS would mean that particular intake won't fit in an Integra that has ABS. Because not all G3 Integra's have ABS.

What other mods do you have, by the way?

I'm guessing he should have gotten neither, but we'll see what his list of mods is. I smell Lego building here, since he didn't know what non ABS meant and he bought an IM and TB ahead of an intake. I hope I'm wrong and I don't have to explain to him how he can expect his car to be slower with these new parts.

haha, nah i didnt buy these before... i have already i/h/e and a CM flywheel and clutch...im gettin the TB and Intake Manifold so when i get my hondata s200 tuned it will produce like it shuld, so some gsr's dont have ABS??? cause i looked at the site and it said GSR integra.. (non abs) so help me out... also i was lookin for a custom intake, rather than just a CAI, to maybe make some more gains in the long run you kno? and ive heard J's racing and the password intakes are great...but i have heard bad things also

Good man, you did the right thing. You should at least do cams and pistons before an IM and TB, or do all 4 at the same time. I know, they make you engine look hot with those shiny new parts, but your not gonna be any faster.

I thought all GSR's had ABS, too. I dunno, some websites are just dumb like that.

abs? anti-lock brakes?!?! i dont see what difference it make if you have abs or not. last time i removed an intake manny it had nothing to do with the abs!! air intake and anti lock brakes???? i dont see the connection

The ABS unit is right next to where the intake tube runs. Maybe in Tegs without the unit, the intake uses a different bracketing system to hold the intake in place or something, utilizing factory holes not being taken up by an ABS unit, or maybe it's a differently designed intake that uses the space for part of the intake itself to occupy.

See that contraption to the left of my Icebox, with all those metal tubes coming out of it? That's the ABS unit.

btw, nice boobs.

i can see the concern about abs if you were replacing the manifold and keeping the STOCK air intake. good explaination tegsox

They seem to always put the abs stuff in the way. Mine is in the way of any strut bar i could want.

RS integ's dont have ABS..anti braking system....but they do have 4 disc rotors..n with the "non-abs" intake system..it will make ur brake pedals travel farther downward when u press on it to brake...if its abs then ur pedal wont travel that far n u'll have a firm pedal feel...the brake booster hose is connected to the IM...
