I'm thinking about installing an alarm by myself. I was wondering how difficult it is, if you have any tips or advice?
I have an 93 LS

depends on the alarm system, but i would suggest getting it installed by a pro theres some rewiring you'll need to do which is a pain

Ya and finding out what wires are the correct wire... Can you read wire diagrams? this is a simple yes or no... I Have been a mechanic for 7 years and I took me awhile to compleatly understand what they were talking about

Your doing to be messing with ignition and splicing wires, so if you cant compleatly understand wire diagrams I would leave it up to a pro ( I still dont do my own more then anything im just to lazy to do it) But companys like best buy or car toys have insurance so if they cook your ignition or start a fire they will pay for it to be repaired. You mess it up your the one whos going to be out the cash and will have to pay for it to be fixed and for the parts

I'm going to be honest. Some people find removing the oil pan drain bolt difficult... lmao

I would consider this to be Moderate

The Bestbuy kids who make 7.50 and hour installing alarms in peoples' cars are nowhere near "pros".

Take it to a reputable shop where they specialize in installing alarm systems.

There are people who think working on anything that has to do with cars hard, But I dont want to be pissed at my self if I cook my ignition.. Even if they are getting paid 7.50 if stuff gets messed up from the alarm being installed I know where to go to kick some ass

ive installed an alarm on my integ and civic. id say its moderate as well.

the alarm should come with what wire is what.
just look up 'alarm install integra' on google and you should find which wire is what to hook up the alarm properly.
