Installing a Shift Light

Im trying to be a bit more original on my car, i dont like follwoing crowds like jdm, rice, power ect, well onto the subject, when buying say, an autometer shift light off of ebay, without the monster tach, how do you go about hooking one of these lights, if anyone has one for sale, that also will interest me, i dont care if the bulb lights up pink, i just need the light to wire up some leds in my car, so when i hit 7000RPMS my car lights up green, sorta like a big shift light. Any info on thses lights and how they work?

thank you speedin, exatly what i needed. i go there all the time, for christ sakes its my home page, is houlda checked lol. Now i just gotta buy one. I am installing my own lights, i just need the whole lights something up at certain rpms.
