Whats goin on guys!

Recently got an all stock 96 Acura Integra LS/SE a nd i want to be able to keep this baby in good shape!

I dont really have anybody to teach me about cars and mechanics and im interested in learning.

Can anybody give me some tips on the first thing i should do to keep my car running good or better than it already is?

also i want it the exterior to look good any tips on if i should put lips on it? and rear visor and etc?

to make it simple for you, if you recently bought this car all stock what would you do to it first?
then over time what would you do to make it perform better?

what about putting vtec? i believe its the B1ab1 non vtec

Sadly its automatic but it was the cleanest integra on craigslist that i could afford. the guy actually wanted 2500 and i got him to drop it to 1900! :suprise:

ive noticed CI loves pictures so ill keep you guys happy and post them once i figure out how too on here !

if you guys want pics under the hood let me know!

security first

if you want to learn about maintenance, pick yourself up a chilton's/haynes teardown and rebuild manual. then, if you have q's, search first. if nothing arises, then ask.

as for styling, do what you like. id say, put 18's, altezza tail lights a full bomex kit.

if you want to go LS-vtec, read up on people's experiences and how-to's.

welcome to the boards.

actually has an FB6 now.
First and foremost, welcome to Clubintegra and great choice of picking up an Integra. it looks nice and stock.

The basic things i do to keep my whip in working order are checking all the fluids and oil. making sure there are no leaks and the simple stuff. that's just me though. you can always do an LS/VTEC if you want VTEC, but building a reliable LS/V motor is going to take a lot of money and work. The basic things people add to make their car look clean is a drop with full coilovers or springs/shock combos and a lip. a drop and a lip alone is more than enough to make you love your car's appearance more. don't forget about an alarm/security.

the true enthusiasts here though are more than willing to help you maintain your car.

Nice find! I did the same sort of thing. A month after I bought it the clutch went out so I used that chance to upgrade. Figure out what you want out of your teg and the people here will help get you there. I think I am going to do a swap to a b18c1 more hp than b18b1 but not as expensive as b18c5 Idk if I helped at all.
