In need of help to install ABS Side Skirts

Hi, new here. Wondering if anyone could help me out. I bought ABS plastic side skirts replicas and I would like to find out the best way to mount them.

1. Positioning of the skirt, e.g. how much sticking out?
2. Does these ABS versions just slide/overlap the stock skirt like on the GSR?
3. The door rubs the skirt as I close it, what would be the best way to remedy it? I was thinking of holding the skirt downwards and drilling on the bottom side of the skirt to hold it in place to create the needed gap between the bottom of the door and the skirt.

Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I forgot to mention they are the OEM Optional Side skirts but they are not OEM material, they are replicas of the OEM style.

Did you buy these from "Street Styler" or something?

If that's the case, there are two ways of mounting it.

1. Slip it over your stock side skirts and mount the side skirt that way using self taping screws on eachside of the sideskirt. Take off your wheels so you could get better positioning to screw the screws in. I would suggest using double sided tape as to somewhat keep it in place. Inside the front wheelwell, slip the side skirt behind the wheelwell cover and screw it in that way. Some people drill right into the chassis, I personally, did not and will not for the rear. Its a lot easier than you think. Just have someone to help you. I tried doing all of this myself...which sucked balls.

^^^ Hopefully that makes sense. And the second way:

Take of your side skirts and mount the side skirts that way (Sorry, I can't give you much info in this one). I don't recommend this route cause I tried it and it is not stable at all. .....I actually cracked the side skirt.

....and my brother messed up my paint job on the side skirt, scratched it too, so I just sort of been lagging on that project.

thanks for the info end005. I believe I've gotten that far in terms of planning. For the rear part I plan on using tapping screws. For the side, I am a bit worried because the door hits the top part of the skirt when opening and closing the door. There must be some way to have it secured down to create the gap or clearance for opening and closing the door. This is the same problem on both sides. My plan was to hold the skirt down as far as I can and screw in from the bottom sides to hold. This plan is in terms of sliding it over the stock skirts.
