in dash DVD good buy?

i have a crappy $80 pioneer head unit in my car now and wanted to upgrade to a nicer head unit with some color to it. and then i started thinking... why not get the ultimate color and get an in dash cd/dvd player with the motorized LCD screen? so of course the ones i really like are the $1800 pioneer and clarions. go figure. but i have enough sense to not spend that much money on one when i only originally wanted a slight upgrade. so i would be happy with a much cheaper one. what would you guys recomend? ill be honest... id like something for as cheap as possible but isnt a piece of junk. and hopefully itll be a nice looking one and not cheap looking like itll fall apart if its touched. but i know they have them for well under a grand like the Jensen VM9410 (LINK) for example. but i dont know how good they truely are. please give all your input.

dont do it your ac will block the display from coming out all the way so you wont really be able to see it when your driving. (not movies i mean but actually using the touch screen to select songs and stuff will be difficult). i was gonna get one but they said my ac unit would be a problem , just spend it in performance parts!!!

yeah i kinda thought of that. i figured my head unit is in the upper slot of the two but if i flip the black tray upside down or whatever then it can be placed in the bottom and the top one will be left empty. well my bass boost control will be sitting in it but i dont mind the screen covering it. no biggie

well anyways i dont know if its a definate yet or not. i just got a load of cash a few days ago for graduation and it made me happy and in the mood to do some spending (on possible unecessary items). but thats normal right? lol. i may still eventually get one in the future though... months from now... who knows.
