might rememeber few months ago when i got t-boned by a suburban and totaled my ls, well moved to WV and met this guy that has a 94 gsr, and will sell to me if i want it bad enough. he said 5g, rust spots r barely there on back corner panels, from what i rememeber it has 2xx,xxx miles on it, he bought it from a lady that worked at acura and never shifted over 3g's, and she didnt know what vtec was. from what i rememeber, he had a intake mani. , CA intake, header, throttle body, it was slammed on skunk 2's, full borla exaughst, and i dont rememeber what else. he was riding stealys, but had the fat 5's still " =D! " , a set of chrome rims, and an ITR wing and lip kit.

he said he needs to get a family care cause he has a kid, and i thought id give him my moms 4 door '00 cavalier, and 3 grand. but idk if its gonna fly, she said no but me and my dad r going to look at it this weekend.

what do ya'll think, its sounded real healthy and vtec popped at 5grand, interior was really clean, black interior,no cracks in dash or anything, gsr green body.

i VTEC do you
find out if the miles are from highway use, road trips, or just driving alot. But either way it had to be well kept to not have that much rust and be clean

UUUHHHH-OOOOHHHHHHH...!!!
rust = bad...

but for $5k, 2xx,xxx miles is a lot of miles. not worth it to me. i'd keep looking around.

rust plus high mileage?

don't buy it. you're in Charlestown thats close to MD are you willing to look around here? There are some clean GSRs for about $5000..

i just moved FROM maryland man lol, and all the miles are highway mostly, and the rust on the quarter panels are barely there, like on 10 point scales its like a 1 / 1.5. and i wanna keep looking around its just like there not really ANY tegs for sale around here. and i need a car / want a car so bad to go to college with. idk like i said i'd be paying him 3 grand and a cavalier if my mom wasnt a douche bag but i doubt thats gonna happen. and idk how low i should offer him since the mileage is high, he's got plenty of other people wanting it.

yeah, i was in the same boat as you bro, just graduated and hot to get on a car. Just wait it out...dont make the same mistake probably alot of us have made (me included) by buying an overpriced car. a GS-R would be nice, but the millage is already 2/3 of the life expectancy of a honda engine and a car+3k? you can easily find a GS-R for cheaper. just be patient as hell and look all over KBB, cars.com and craigslist.com it will come just be patient.

I understand what you're saying. Either way you can find a MUCH better deal for that money.

BTW where in MD were you?

there were a few in sac a while back for $6500 he claimed he was tired of it and it was all OEM type-R gear. um the only problem was he was tired of trying to get it to pass bar....probably easier in other parts of america but not here!

G3GirL

UUUHHHH-OOOOHHHHHHH...!!!
^ no waaaay! lol in sac, too? that could only mean two things...

1) stolen
2) not a true type-r. "type-r gear," you said? it's probably just added on parts.

G3GirL

UUUHHHH-OOOOHHHHHHH...!!!
^ lol forreals. i wouldn't even drive around...
"is that a type-r?"
"hm? no. it's just an rs..." lol

original poster: even though you really want a car right now, the one you're describing isn't going to be worth it. invest your money in a smart buy. you won't regret it. don't get antsy. just keep looking around. also, let the grip of other people who are interested in it buy it. lol you're really not missing out on much. sometimes the seller just says that to make you want it more.

something better always comes along if you're patient enough, though. good luck with the search!
