hey guys. sorry this is another thread about an idle situation. so i drove my for about 20 minutes or so. then when i came back home. i sat in the car for awhile and noticed my idle is unsteady. it fluctuates(idk if thats the correct spelling) from 400rpms to 800rpms, less than 1k. i was thinking about doing a compression. but do you guys know what i can do at home that can fix the problem? i was thinking that maybe i need to change my oil.

Just call me chris.
you car should idle at around 700. a little fluctuation isnt bad but as long as your needle isnt bouncing around constantly at idle you should be alright.

Burp your coolant (besides what's been suggested already). This is a classic Honda / Acura problem and there are lots of threads covering it; not here but across the entire internet.

Get the bubbles out. They can cause fluctuating idle due to the stupid FITV system.

Take off your radiator cap when the engine is cold. Start the car and let it run until the fan comes on watching as bubbles "burp" out of the radiator. Pour in more coolant as needed. Reinstall the cap.
