I think my car is broken

OK so I bough a 1990 integra rs last week for a dd so i can work on my Volvo. Is this car really that slow or is my mine broken.Like i mean it doesn't move at all lol. i have to shift at like 5grand just to keep up with traffic. The specs say it has 140 hp and 120 ft/lbs of torque but it doesn't feel like that. could my cat be clogged. My gas millage hasn't dropped though,i get 26mpg in the city

Sounds like it needs a tune up
Spark plugs/Wires
Distributor cap/ rotor button, etc.....

check your butterfly on the throttlebody, make sure it isn't sticking

If its been sitting for 4 months you might wanna drain all your fluids just to make the car happy. Did you do the spark plugs personally if not you might want to check them. Gl

IDK about this if it would be causing the problem but you'll need to clean it eventually. The iacv(sp?) someone correct this i dont think i spelled it right brain fart right now.

The IACV (idle air control valve) is just a valve that opens when the car is at an idle to bypass the throttle body and allow the necessary amount of air in. This would not affect the performance of the car, just the rpm of the engine at idle. When this needs cleaning the engine will idle really low.
