Hey what's up CI? I'm looking for someone in MA who can help me fix my poor DA back to legal standards. I'm 17 and I'm, about to move out but my car isn't drivable although it runs, It was shipped from my old house in California and is way illegal for inspection at the moment. Plus it has a pretty bad coolant leak. I will not get rid of this car as it's my beloved LOL. I need someone who's willing to come by and work on it with me. I don't have any tools except for a flood light and a drill (Won't do much I know) So if anyone could help me feel free to reply and i'll give you a form of contact information. Yes I'm willing to pay but my funds are extremely tight as i'm currently jobless. I'm willing to sell my drum set for the parts and paying whoever helps me out. The motor is a B18A1 (Stock) with a B16 Transmission.

Looking for my next Teg..
sell your drum set and buy a 200 piece mechanics ratchet set and a set of metric open/box end wrenches & torque wrench.

STart learning to do the work yourself. Generally getting a car legal isn't too rough a job, especially on a Cali car. Just make sure you have stock parts. Airbox & intake arm, o2 sensor, catalytic converter, & oem header & collector.

probably take you 4-5 hours to pull out the illegal parts and put the stock parts in. If it doesn't pass smog at that point you need a smog mechanic anyways.

I've done what i could myself. only problem is the coolant leak that seems to be by the crank pulley (What it looks like, Probably the water pump. but i have no clue how to do that part. On top of that the o2 sensor is acting like it doesn't exist. I'm getting the code 43 (Fuel system) and the CEL comes on after 15 minutes of running.

Here in mass they won't check your emissions anymore. All they will check is if your car is "safe" (ball joints etc). Where are you located in Ma?

I'm located in Newton. I wasn't sure because i heard that they check all cars emissions unless it's 84' or older.
