I have a 92 1.8 ls... i did a compression test but all the cylinders have a different reading. i also did a home trouble shoot codes and im reading a few.. i think it was the compression, injectors, #1 cylinder and something else... i think it might be the O2 sensor, but the car is still peppy as hell. when i raced my friends del sol si... i walked all over him and his car is like new... but the only problem that i have with the car running is that when its cold and i try to dive the car starts to die but then ill push in the clutch and berp the gas a few times and it will run fine?? why is this and what can i do to fix this and the codes it thowing out?? if someone can help me that would be great thank you for your time

Your compression reading will be different from cylinder to cylinder. That is ok as long as they are within a a certain range. They be extremely different.

Injectors and o2 sensor can cause your car to act like that. If it's throwing them codes then I suggest you replace them

Isnt the range +/- 5%?

I believe the maximum variation that Honda quotes is 28psi on most of their cars. Although I wouldn't want my car having that kind of variation, it is with spec according to Honda. It's a little much for my liking

I thought it was at most a 20psi difference between the cylinders? And yeah, what are the results? I believe numbers between 180-200 is fine for your engine. I could be wrong, and if I am Kyle will correct me:p

Also, what codes are you getting?

my compression was 180-150 but like i said the only problem is when its wanrming up from cold, but when i fix the compression what do you think is the best to do?? should i bore it out to a 2.0 or is it cheaper or better just buying new rings or will i still need pistons too?

i have a couple hundred to spend but i bought the car for only $400 and i already put around $2000 into it already. .. but where else should i look?? im thinking it might just be that my head gasket is bad but i have no idea what do you think it is or even what should i do about it??
p.s- sitting in the car you can smeel all the unburnt fumes so its getting way to much fuel how can i fix this... also i only get like 12-15 miles to the gallon... why is this ??

Probably because of the o2 sensor. If you car is throwing a code for an o2 sensor, then go buy one and replace it.

In open loop mode the ECU takes feedback from the o2 sensor to calculate the fuel delivery. If the o2 sensor is dead, then replace it. Simple as that. Start fixing the stuff the car is telling you is messed up
