I'm looking at a b18b right now with everything but the tranny. it's got a port n polish job and a/c and everything else is stock. thing is, he bought it off a friend who swapped it out of his LS for a gsr motor. now he's sellin it because he got a good deal on a b16. he wants 400 for it. is this a good buy? and what can i do to make sure this motor is not stolen? i'd like to give him answer by tonight so i can pick it up this weekend. thanks.

That price is amazing especially since it has a port and Polish. There really is no way to see if the motor is stolen or not. You could ask him where he got it from. That may not do any good though. You could look for a VIN number on the block. Most likely if it is scratched off it is stolen.
