How to tighten the clutch cable?

Like the title says, i want to know how to tighten the cable. Still havent got my car fixed because i dont have time. My previous post stated that i cant shift into gears when the engine is on so i was thinking about tighten the cable. any other suggestion will be appreciated.

Other things to check would be... bent shift linkage, too much play in the shifter arm causing you to miss, low on tranny fluid, or mis-aligned clutch

sorry but how would i check the shift linkage. lol

I am pretty sure it has something to do with the clutch because it seems like the clutch is not being press in far enough.
