Hey i need help on removing flywheel i removed the clutch now i need to take off the flywheel but its not easy considering it keeps spinning and they are in there pretty good i tried wedging screwdriver also used another ratchet to hold it back its not working. And clutch cable it does into the firewall and i can find where it goes from there. And fuel pump do i just drop the gas tank with a wrench? and then just remove bolts for the pump and thats it? Thank you for your help guys if you can help im parting it out and im trying to junk it because its just taking up way to much space.

nothing from nowhere
its going to be hard without a impact wrench. try using a long pry bar to hold and wedge it while someone else loosens the bolts

put one of the transmission bolts in the bell housing until all the threads are no longer showing. Now put your pry par up against that bolt and in the teeth of the flywheel. Ive actually done this by myself so it is possible.

take two rachets and put one to a consecutive bolt on the flywheel, make one tighten and one loosen and keep doing it the whole way around until u get to last then just tighten one next to the one that you have left and then the last one should be easy to break loose because it already was loose

nope you all are wrong.......what you do it take a breaker bar and a socket and put it on the crank shaft pully have someone hold it while you break the flywheel nuts loose....same steps to tighten easy enough as for the fuel pump take out your back seat ...you should be able to see what i meen from there......simple clutch cable comes in behind the dash.....lay down under driverside dash with a flash light should be able to see it

okay theres no such thing as a wrong way if it works. If it works, then it works.
your half way right but you can also damage something by not doing it the RIGHT WAY wich is the way i said because if that is the case i can get them off with an air chisel it works so it must be right ? NOT!....when you put your pressure plate and flywheel on remember to tq it down to the specs you dont want to snap any bolts whick meens no air guns ...been there done that trust me its a bitc*

Ive done it like this before too but you could loosen the crankshaft pulley bolt doing it this way even though it is torqued alot more than the flywheel bolts. Plus its easier to do by yourself the way that i explained. I never thought of the two ratchet idea though. Pretty good thought

dude the bolts on the flywheel are tqed down at 76ft lbs the carank shaft pully bolt is at 130 ft lbs almost twice as much as the fly wheel bolts some are even at 145 ft lbs......if you break it loose when your undoing the fly wheel bolts...it wasnt installed correctly.....this is how we do it in our shop trust me it works

dude.... like i said ive done it that way before too but its safer to do it the way that i said. And good luck doing it your way by yourself. I know im not gonna risk backing off any of the torque on the crank bolt.

I always stick a long skinny screwdriver in one of the holes around the flywheel. Never tried the crankshaft bolt method but seems like it would work just as well.
