I basically had difficulties finding a how to "wire up a horn " for our lovely vehicles... so I took the courtesy to show you guys what to properly do and what not... this is the "cheap way" so to say... but it works well... any ways...
following items needed*
1. NRG short hub or any Aftermarket short hub...
2. for me ... the SRS wire/Horn (combo) was long enough to reach the hub so i used a 6 inch 12 gauge wire...
3. some sort of contact... like a pen hanger... its from a pen and its metal.. you could use something similar..
4. ELECTRICAL TAPE...
5. 30 mins of your time...
okay lets get started
this picture shows the pen hanger being used with the wire ... i put them together ... tied them, then taped them... put this aside, next to you
... as you disassemble the SRS unit.. 2 seperate wires are exposed... one where you can un-clip and the second where you can "cut them" .. (which i did)...
Now as you see.. in the photo below.. it has 4 openings 3 used 1 un-used.. the wire next to the un-used one is our horn .
I took the other end of the connector and stuck it inside the horn wire... ( the wire with the hanger)
safely together and taped so no wire is exposed.
now you want the hanger touching the brass end of the hub.. be careful because once the hub is in place and the hanger is touching the brass.. your horn could honk so be cautious... make sure the hanger is secured.. i used zip ties to hold it down and the white part with the brass, i used a zip tie to keep it straight.. not all wobble wobble... lol . after that.. put everything back in place... carefully insert your quick release and enjoy your now working horn
