how to fix my RPM FROM JUMPIN AROUN

yo i have 93 integra and ever since i wired up my shift light my rpm gauge just jump from different numbers its not accurate and i was wondering if anyone could tell me how to fix it

try checking for vaccum leaks mine did the same thing and i found a vaccum leak and it solved my prob.

try what he said, But if not then it can be the idle control valve located behind the intake manifold, Or the idle control valve adjustment majigger... I had both break on me...

Also the distributer is a common failure that can cause that

recheck the wiring especially if it happend after the tach was installed.....

what do you mean recheck it i looked at it removed installed it again but it still is doing the same thing everything works but the need is jumping like crazy
