Im having problems with my 94 dc2 gsr. I need to check the resistance on the ignition coil. Can anyone give me the specs on acceptable ranges of the readings I get? And Im not sure exactly how to check it(ie. key ON, where to place multimeter pins, etc.) Any help or links would be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance! :???:

remove your distribuator cap, rotor, and pastic sheild, remove screws holding the blk wire with yellow tracer then remove screw that holds the white wire with blue tracer. these are named A and B. set your multimeter to ohms and put your meter leads on the coil where you just disconnected the wires, at 68 deg. F. it should be 0.6-0.8 ohms. then keep the lead on A which is the blk wire with yellow tracer, and put your other lead on the coil output which look like a spring to the left, that should be 12.8-19.2 kilo ohms at 68 deg. F. hope this helps

I read 11.77 across the secondary. THink that is out of range enough to cause problems?

Using a cheap multimeter from HD...

OK folks, need some help here. Used to be a gear head years ago, but haven't turned wrenches for a while. Got 94 integra rs a while ago - has 250k miles, but still fun to kick around in. On way to pick up kid from school just died...8-/

Left the car sitting fro a while, now trying to revive withour dumping major $$$.
here's what I know
no spark -
power at fuses & main relay ok
power on blk/yel to dist good

coil (on counter) testes primary ` .06 & secondary tested 11.77k

what now??
